THE WINSTON-SALEM YOUTH ARTS INSTITUTE is founded to develop authors. WSYAI creates apprentice artists who author original written works in poetry, monologues, rap and lyrics from their life stories and circumstance. We develop their works for stage, film and visual art forums in collaboration with professional and renowned artists, who with us, will study: performance art writing, live stage, spoken word and film forums, design and production, and music.
