Nathan Ross Freeman, Co-Founder and Artistic Director

Mr. Freeman is the creator and teacher of "Writing through the Senses": an Intensive Creative, Performance Art, and Spoken Word curriculum, which is foundational to the notion of developing young people into authors of their stories and their lives. He is a director, script writer, teacher of playwriting and professional acting. He is a Member of the Intensive Writing Faculty at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, NC; Member of the NC Humanities Speakers Bureau; Artistic Director of New Directions For Our Youth; and most currently Founder-Partner in Mr. Bones Films, LLC., Pen & Voice LLC., and Face To Face, Inc. He is the founder of Montage Showcase Ensemble, and Assegai Film Group.

His awards include the 2005 San Francisco Black Film Festival Screenplay Contest Second in Overall Scoring for "Hannah Elias," 1997 North Carolina Arts Council Playwrights Fellowship for "Hannah Elias," Third Runner Up, and 2005 Great Lakes Film Festival Screenplay Contest for "Geist".
