WSPD Rookie Police training — Breaks down steryotyping and creates cross cultural understanding and working relationships between police and youth, thus providing an afterschool neighborhood environment that is viably productive, to create a necessary addendum to the school day to discuss, research, retain, and apply learning.
National DropOut Prevention Annual Conference — Educates participants to the possibilities of young people when given tools for self-expression and empowerment which enage youth to want to stay in school.Staying in school increases graduation and the possibility of becoming educated, engaged and economically solvent citizens, which contributes to a viable and healthy community.
NC Alternative Education Annual Conference — Educates alternative education teachers to implement models of arts education through the arts.
WSFC Board of Education — Provides insight into issues faced by youth in the school system to increase equity in education for all students.
Department of Juvenile Justice and Crime Prevention — Youth cannot earn or learn in jail. Youth educate professionals toward alternative perceptions and engagement with youth that will decrease recidivism and increase functional probation and rehabilitation models.
- Fundraising collaborative with Have a Heart: a 12 agency annual fundraiser and awareness raising events.
- Donations and grants through local businesses, churches and individuals.
- Six Partner Agencies provide collaboration to support youth intervention and prevention goals, while providing apprentice artist youth sponsorships for the summer institute.
- Partnership with SECCA provided opportunity for a diverse audience and a grassroots community connection for the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art.
- Partnership with Wake Forest University's Institute for Civic Engagement provided Mentor/Intern to mentor youth, provide fundraising, and strengthen a consistent connection with youth apprentice artists.
- Working agreements and partnerships with agencies who contract WSYAI to provide stage and film forum workshops and presentations.
